Ermine


Happy Holidays!
Today's wildlife animal is called the Ermine! They are a highly skilled predator that eats mainly rodents such as rabbits. Their pelt differs in color depending on the season. In spring, the Ermine is brown and in winter, it is white. Another common name this animal is referred to is the stoat.

Northern Pygmy Owl


The pygmy owl is one of the smallest animals in the world being at a height of only 7''. Despite their small size, pygmy owls are quite fierce. They hunt mainly by vision, hunting small birds, mammals, and reptiles. Voles, the smallest rodent in the world, make up the bulk of their diet.
